Gold Star Web has many years of experience in designing, implementing and marketing ecommerce websites. When we first started in 1996 we had our very first shopping cart designed by a group of Chico State University programmers – who later went on to design websites for some of the most recognizable brands in the US. At the turn of the millennium, however, we switched it up and began using an ASP shopping cart company and had a great deal of success with that product. We have set up shopping carts with PayPal, Yahoo, Ebay, Amazon, VPASP, VPCart, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and a few others over the years.

In 2015 we began using a new shopping cart called BigCommerce.com. We found this new product by searching through Google Webmaster Tools until we located a list of shopping carts that are recommended by Google for Google Shopping. BigCommerce.com was the only product on the list. We have been using BigCommerce.com’s shopping cart since November, 2015 and we LOVE it. It is by far the easiest shopping cart we have ever worked with and it has the features a modern company needs in order to sell and build an ecommerce business online.

BigCommerce.com works so seamlessly with Google Shopping that Google will actually just automatically locate your shop’s feed and pull your products into their lineup without you having to do much more than indicating you want the product to be included in Google Shopping when you put the item into stock, then logging in to Google Webmaster Tools. BigCommerce.com also seams together with Constant Contact and other email programs so you can email your customers easily from your shopping cart to build your marketing, integrates with Ebay and Amazon, among many other impressive features.
